Mad Hatter Creators

Mad Hatter Creators

Mad Hatter Creators is the creator app of The Mad Hatter Co., a hat and apparel brand. Creators who make product videos for us use it to connect their own YouTube channel, so the videos they approve can be posted to their channel automatically, without downloading and re-uploading by hand.

How it works

  1. The Mad Hatter Co. sends a creator a private connect link for their creator profile.
  2. The creator opens the link and signs in with Google. Google shows the permissions the app asks for, and the creator chooses whether to allow them.
  3. After connecting, the creator's dashboard shows which YouTube channel is connected.
  4. When a product video the creator made is approved for posting, the app uploads it to that creator's own YouTube channel with its title and description.
  5. The creator can disconnect at any time from the dashboard or from their Google Account permissions page.

What we access on YouTube, and why

Upload videos (youtube.upload): to post the creator's approved product videos to the creator's own channel. We do not edit or delete any other videos.

View your YouTube account (youtube.readonly): to read the connected channel's name once, so the dashboard can show which channel is connected.

We never sell YouTube or Google data, never use it for advertising, and only use it to provide the features above. Full details are in our Privacy Policy. Mad Hatter Creators uses YouTube API Services; by connecting YouTube you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.
